A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) router  is a computer numerically controlled machine tool

 The spindle has 3 linear axes of movement (X-Y-Z), like in 3-axis machining, plus the A-axis occurs by rotation of the workpiece. There are a few different arrangements for 4 axis machines, but typically they are of the ‘vertical machining’ type, where the spindle rotates about the Z axis. The workpiece is mounted in the X-axis and can rotate with the fixture in the A-axis. For a single fixture setup, 4 sides of the part can be machined.

A router or high-speed spindle with a cutting tool then removes material at the desired locations.

Different cutting tools can be used depending on the material and the feature being machined.

These tools can be manually changed or in the case of a more advanced machine, an ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) can swap out tools.

1. Power on
Before starting up, first make sure that all connections between the CNC engraving machine and the computer are normal, and then turn on the power of the engraving machine and the computer. After the system is started, enter the CNC system.

2. Mechanical reset
After starting the system (the system will determine whether the machine tool has "returned to the mechanical origin" before entering automatic processing), the "return to the mechanical origin" prompt dialog box will first appear. Click the corresponding button, the engraving machine tool will automatically return to the mechanical origin position, and Correct coordinate system.

3. Check the I/O status
Check the input and output of each signal and check whether there is a fault signal to ensure that the woodworking engraving machine can be processed safely.

4. Load the processing program
Before processing, users generally need to load the required processing program, otherwise all automatic processing functions will be invalid.
Select the [File (F)] -> [Open and Load (O)...] menu, and the Windows standard file operation dialog box will pop up, from which you can select the file to be processed. Or right-click the mouse in the automatic processing window to pop up the shortcut menu, select [Open and load (O)...], and select the desired processing file in the pop-up file operation dialog box. Then click the "Open" button, and the processing program will be loaded into the system. At this time, you can click the "Auto" window to view the current processing program.

5. Manual operation

(1) Display manual operation interface
Click the [Manual] window with the mouse to display a manual operation interface. On this interface, you can manually operate the engraving machine tool.

(2) Manual movement
Manual movement can be achieved by clicking the corresponding button on the manual operation interface with the mouse. You can also manually move the CNC woodworking engraving machine through the small numeric keys on the keyboard. Note that you must first switch the input focus to the manual window. The specific method is to switch to the manual window first, then left-click any position of the manual window, and press the corresponding number keys on the keyboard to realize manual movement.

6. Determine the origin of the workpiece
The origin of the X, Y, Z, and A coordinates in the machining program is the origin of the workpiece. Before processing, you first need to
Set the origin of the workpiece. The specific method is:
Manually move the X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis, and A-axis of the engraving machine to the position of the workpiece origin desired by the user, and clear the coordinate value of the current position to zero in the coordinate window (or select [Operation (O)]->[Settings] The current point is the workpiece origin]), so that when executing the processing program, the current position is used as the workpiece origin for processing.

7. Automatic processing.

Automatic processing means that the woodworking engraving machine tool automatically processes according to the selected processing program.

(1) Start automatic processing
Select the [Operation (O)] | [Start] menu item or click the button on the toolbar, and the machine tool will automatically start execution from the first sentence of the processing program.

03. How to perform daily maintenance of engraving cnc machine
